Founded in 2015 by Daniela Braga, DefinedCrowd already has offices in Portugal, the United States, and Japan.

Three years later, this Portuguese AI startup continues to attract investors and all because of the high-quality data it provides. Data is needed so that electronic personal assistants, such as Alexa from Amazon’s Echo columns, can respond better to any request.

This year the startup managed to raise more than 10 million euros in investments. This presents the possibility of doubling the team from 40 to 80 people scattered between Lisbon, Porto, Seattle, and Tokyo.

This funding will also make it possible for the startup to continue to develop the platform and products offered, therefore expanding global market share.
