Foreign investors wishing to incorporate a company in Portugal can now do it in just 30 minutes at the new “Company IN”.
The ‘Company IN’ branch was created, which is located in the National Register of Legal Persons in Lisbon, where any foreigner who wants to set up a company in Portugal can now do so in just 30 minutes.
After the creation of the government platform ‘Portugal IN’, which aims to attract British investment to the Portuguese territory, the portugues government decided to extend the project to all foreigners who are interested in establishing themselves in Portugal.
With this pilot project, “Company IN”, foreigners can now book an appointment with an English-speaking employee at the “Empresa na Hora”.
How to set up a company in Portugal:
- choose from the list of pre-approved company names available for consultation at the site;
- upon the company’s incorporation, you are given the access code to the company’s e-card and the Social Security’s identification number; promptly the company is given the memorandum and articles of association and the Permanent Certificate’s access code, with all commercial registries, valid for three months;
- the company’s incorporation deed is registered and immediately published at http://publicacoes.mj.pt/, freely accessible and free of charge;
- the company is given an Internet.pt domain registry based on the company’s name. For that purpose, a 3-in-one voucher is given which includes the .pt domain, a tool to develop the site with the respective technical hosting and also e-mail addresses. A partnership between DNS.PT Association and IRN I.P.
In the pilot stage, the counter is available at the National Register of Collective Persons (RNPC) “Empresa na Hora”, in Lisbon. Appointments in English can be booked via email () or through the “Empresa na Hora” RNPC’ landline (+351 217 714 300).
