The Vilamoura Marina was distinguished as the best marina of 2021 by The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA).
With the support of the British Marine Federation, the Vilamoura Marina was voted the best by boat owners who assessed marinas from all around the world.
It isn’t flesh news that the Vilamoura Marina is highly sought after by boat owners from everywhere, but this award ends up translating this fantastic Portugal precious.
This is also not the first time that the Vilamoura Marina is awarded for its quality. Between 2015 and 2017 was elected the best international marina of the year by all marinas classified with 5 anchors. Between that period, for being awarded for three consecutive years, the marina received the distinction “International Marina of Distinction 2015-2017” award. In 2019 was once again distinguished with the award for the best international marina of the year.
This marina is part of the programme – promoted by The Yacht Harbour Association– which assigns 2 to 5 anchors to the best marinas, attributed by the level of service and quality of the infrastructure, and of course, the Vilamoura Marina was awarded the rating of 5 Golden Anchors yet in 2008.
About the Vilamoura Marina:
It started to operate in 1974 and was one of the first ones to emerge. It is nowadays a national reference for its quality and for being the largest marina in Portugal, with 825 berths, a shipyard and a fully equipped competition sailing training centre.
