Animaris has been operating since 1986 in the maritime-tourist area in the heart of Ria Formosa, in the Algarve. In addition to the various services it provides, it has the only structure on Ilha Deserta (Faro, Algarve): the Estaminé restaurant.

It operates with a fleet dedicated to Ilha Deserta and the Ria Formosa Natural Park and provides tours with various themes and purposes.
