The first MAR 2030 funding applications are open. Within the scope of the Mar 2030 Program, aimed at productive investment by economic operators in the fishing, aquaculture and processing of fishing and aquaculture products sector companies can now apply.
The following types of applications are open:
- a) investments on board fishing vessels in the field of energy efficiency, safety and selectivity and in productive and organizational innovation of fishing companies, with this Notice accounting for an allocation of €8.7M in public support;
- b) productive investments by aquaculture companies for the sustainable development of this mode of production, with this Notice providing an allocation of €30M in public support;
- c) productive investments by companies processing fishery and aquaculture products, with this Notice accounting for an allocation of €19M in public support;
- d) definitive cessation of the activity of fishing vessels that operate in unbalanced fleet segments, with this Notice counting on an allocation of €6M in public support.
Applications for MAR 2030 must be submitted through the Balcão dos Fundos, available at balcaofundosue.pt by:
- October 30, 2023, in the event of the definitive cessation of fishing vessel activity
- November 30, 2023 for productive investments by aquaculture companies and companies processing fishery and aquaculture products
- December 30, 2027 (the notice remains open continuously) for investments on board fishing vessels in the field of energy efficiency, safety and selectivity and in productive and organizational innovation of fishing companies.
