The calendar now released sets a timetable for opening Calls funded by the Portugal 2030 Programme, allowing entities to learn about the notices that will be launched in the next 12 months.

  • R&D Projects – SMEs: non-repayable grant of up to 80% for research and development projects. (Opening planned: november 2023)
  • Land-based investments: non-repayable grant of up to 60% for investment projects in infrastructure, services and equipment in territories with lower economic development. (Opening planned: december 2023)
  • Highly Qualified Human Resources: non-repayable grant of up to 60% for hiring highly qualified human resources. (Opening planned: January 2024)
  • Green Productive Investment: grant of up 40% for investment projects in green technologies and production processes. (Opening planned: January 2024)
  • Circular Economy: grant of up 60% support for circular economy projects. (Opening planned: January 2024)
  • Co-development R&D: non-repayable grant of up to 80% for business research and development projects in co-promotion with public research entities. (Opening planned: April 2024)
  • Internationalization of SMEs: non-repayable grant of up to 50% for internationalization projects of small and medium-sized enterprises. (Opening planned: May 2024)
  • R&D Projects: non-repayable grant of up to 80%  for demonstration projects of innovative technologies. (Opening planned: June 2024)
  • Qualified and Creative Entrepreneurship of the SMEs: grant of up to 75% for entrepreneurship projects. (Opening planned: June 2024)

In this first calendar there are 412 calls for applications to be launched by the management authorities of Portugal 2030 mobilizing 6.2 billion euros of European funds, distributed among various policy objectives and the various regions of the country, in the social, economic, environmental, maritime and territorial areas.

By the end of the year, the government plans to launch 165 calls for proposals for a total amount of 2.2 billion euros. The Plan runs from September 2023 to August 2024. The Portugal 2030′ Calendar is updated every four months, in April, August and December, and an updated version is published for the following 12 months.

The Portugal 2030′ Calendar offers a number of opportunities for businesses and individuals. For example, businesses can apply for support for:
